Yew Nork is a local guide to creative, queer and culinary New York.

Every pick is something I'd send a friend: a show worth the ticket, a room worth the trip, somewhere to eat before or after. Some of it opened last week, some of it has been here fifty years. None of it is paid for, and anything marked “been there” is a place I've actually been.

New picks land twice a week. The map keeps all of them.

I'm JP Hennessy. I've been in New York since 2007, first designing events for Condé Nast, then a stint running a flea market in Williamsburg, then two decades of building products and brands at places like Bonobos, Meta and Lightning AI, where I'm Chief Design Officer. I was a founding board member of Stove Works, a contemporary arts nonprofit, and I live in Greenpoint and go out a lot. This is where that ends up.
